Many Hampton University students are facing severe financial hardship as a result of the COVID-19 crisis. They need emergency aid now more than ever.
The Hampton Cares Student Emergency Fund is designed to relieve barriers for students to continue their attendance at Hampton University, as a result of disruptions resulting from the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Gifts to the fund will help students who are facing financial hardships in light of the widespread impact of COVID-19, including difficulty affording room and board, transportation, technology for remote learning and basic care needs. There may be expenses not noted which are bona-fide emergencies. Those issues will be handled/addressed on an individual case-by-case basis.
Students who meet the following are eligible to apply:
- Must be enrolled at Hampton University at the time of application for emergency funds
- Must have an immediate financial hardship resulting from the coronavirus pandemic (documentation is required)
- Must have at least a 2.0 GPA or higher
Only one application submission accepted per student, per semester. To apply, complete and send the form. For questions, email hamptoncares@hamptonu.edu.

6. Can my parents submit a request for support on my behalf?
No. Parents will not be able to submit a request. However, the student and parent can work together in the provision of documentation of the need.
