Hampton University Invites You to Its Virtual Fall Open House Oct. 17th!

HAMPTON, Va. (Oct. 1, 2020) — Hampton University is committed to prevention and keeping the campus community safe, informed and healthy. In light of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Hampton University Office of Admission will host its annual Fall Open House virtually on Saturday, Oct. 17, at 10 a.m. Hampton University takes the safety and health of its guests, staff and community very seriously.

“Dean Angela Boyd, the Office of Admission and the other departments assisting in transitioning our Open House to a virtual experience are to be commended. Hampton University’s annual Open House is the perfect opportunity to get an up-close and personal look at Hampton University and experience why we are indeed THE Standard of Excellence,” said Hampton University President Dr. William R. Harvey. “This year’s program will be unique as we adjust to these unprecedented times, however this will be a can’t miss event.”

This year’s Open House will also feature two prominent Hampton University alumni who have made their mark in the world of media. Allison Seymour, a long time media personality in Washington DC, will serve as the program moderator. Raashaun ‘DJ Envy’ Casey, host of the #1 nationally syndicated morning radio show “The Breakfast Club” and a 2020 Radio Hall of Fame inductee, will discuss his time at Hampton University.

Prospective students and parents will begin the day with a formal welcome from university ambassadors, and a performance from the Hampton University Marching Force. The day also includes messages from our visionary President Dr. William R. Harvey, university deans, and administrative and student panel discussions.  Representatives from additional departments including — Fine and Performing Arts, Student Activities, Freshman Studies and other student services departments will also take part in the event.

“Fall Open House gives prospective students and parents the time to acquaint themselves with Hampton University’s high level of academics, character building model, outstanding research opportunities, and how we cultivate future global leaders,” said Hampton University Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management and Dean of Admission, Angela Boyd.
