Hampton University and Wendy’s to Hold Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

HAMPTON, Va. (January 23, 2020) – Hampton University and Wendy’s will host a ribbon cutting ceremony at the official grand opening of the new Wendy’s restaurant near campus, located in The Shops at Hampton Harbor at 1006 Settlers Landing Rd., Hampton, VA, 23669. The ceremony will take place on Friday, January 24, 2020, starting at 2:00 p.m. at the restaurant.

“Hampton University proudly welcomes Wendy’s to ‘Our Home by the Sea,’” said Hampton University President, Dr. William R. Harvey. “Wendy’s’ presence in The Shops at Hampton Harbor not only provides another dining option for our campus community, but it also creates new job opportunities for our students and the local community.”

The opening of this Wendy’s location has created five full-time management positions and 30 part-time positions. This restaurant will be open from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 a.m. every day. The owner of this franchise is Wen GAP, which is a family owned Hampton Roads franchisee of Wendy’s Restaurants. This is their 22nd location.
